Gantz

Two high school students, Masaru Kato and Kei Kurono, attempt to rescue a drunken homeless man who has collapsed onto subway tracks, only to be struck by an oncoming train. After their tragic deaths, they inexplicably awaken inside a bare Tokyo apartment, where they encounter Joichiro Nishi, an experienced Gantz participant, along with other confused newcomers. The duo quickly learns they are trapped inside the apartment with no means of escape. Dominating the space is a mysterious black orb known as “Gantz.” After a period of waiting, the sphere activates, revealing a bald, mask-wearing figure connected by wires, alongside an arsenal of advanced weaponry. Among these are sleek black suits that enhance their physical abilities—granting superhuman strength, speed, endurance, and protection. Additional equipment includes a handheld controller for stealth and radar functions, along with high-tech firearms like the Xgun, X Shotgun, and Y-Firearm. As the story progresses, even deadlier tools such as the Gantz sword and Gantz Bike become available, with further upgrades unlocked through the 100-point reward system.
